Abstract
The study treats the story of the seventy-two translators, as represented in the pre-15th century Russian Chronographical compilation Troickij xronograf. The source of the story is identified as the Dialogue of Timothy and Aquila extant in Greek and Slavic. A critical edition of the story is furnished, based on the chronographical excerpt and on the full text of the Slavic translation of the Dialogue.
