Abstract

The KSVM has made a significant impact in many areas of veterinary medicine in Israel since its establishment in 1985. This impact is particularly noticeable in the clinical disciplines of companion animals. Nevertheless, the challenges still facing the school are great, and the difficulties considerable. In the next decade, the KSVM needs to strengthen all areas of research, both clinical and basic, and to establish its presence in all fields associated with food production animals-herd health, food safety, and meat hygiene. Our goal is for the KSVM to be considered among the leading veterinary schools in the world within the next 10 to 20 years. We are confident that we can meet these challenges.
