Abstract

It has been found, by conventional four-point probe measurements taken from various points on the videodisc surface, that the resistivity changes along the radius of the disc, which is generally more conductive at the outside edge. An apparatus shown enables one to take a plurality of measurements along the radius of the disc rapidly so that a resistivity profile at a number of different radial angles can be made in a very short time, about a minute.
