Abstract
Lacking any substatntial information about Judeo-Spanish song repertoir prior to the beginning of modern documrntataion, one is left with one meager source of tangible information only: melodic inscripts. This article examines the inscripts in Hebrew manuscripts and prints in Peninsular sources dating prior to 1492 as well as Ottoman ones from the early 16th century. Theses findings provide a hint into the Romance song repertoire that Iberian Jews commanded prior to their expulsion of 1492.
