Zero energy pion-nucleus potential from 1s states in pionic atoms

Abstract

Results of recent precision measurements of strong interaction level shifts and widths of 1s states in pionic atoms of 10,11B, 16,18O and 19F are found to be in full agreement with predictions of an optical potential. The isovector component of the local potential is well determined.
